UPDATE: We got a call from Mitos' owner and he had to put him down due to a broken front leg. Brent was very heartbroken.
He really loved Mito. He said he was the best stud he ever had around, well-mannered, easy to handle. Unfortunately
he didn't breed any mares last year to him.
Rest in Peace old friend. He was good to us...

We have been extremely fortunate to have come across Mito. He has fulfilled all our expectations as a stud. His disposition is second to none; exceptionally gentle, quiet, and intelligent, plus his conformation is really nice. And he passes this on to his colts.
Mito was started as a 2 year old. Since he is used in a pasture breeding program, his training has been rather sporadic. You can turn him out with the mares for 3 to 4 months, then catch him up, saddle him, and he’s ready for anything. He has had some light training of team roping, both heading and heeling and also some barrel racing. He’ll even pull heavy limbs to the brush pile in the middle of winter with no resistance.
Mito’s main job here is to give us colts with disposition, athletic ability, conformation and color. We have had 7 foal crops from him and they all exhibit these qualities. Colorwise; he has given us grays, duns, bay & red roans, and blue roans, almost 100% color. His colts look like they are going to stand 15 to 15.2 hands, just right for us, with a little variance, depending on the mother.
Right now we have 4 broodmares that we are breeding Mito to. We are not standing him to outside mares. We do not have the time or facility to do it properly. So if you like some of the breeding combo with Mito and the broodmares, give us a call. We may have your next winner...
