This 8 yr old gray mare is riding really nice. He uses her the same way as the black horse; in big pastures checking cows/calves. Doctoring, dragging calves to the fire.
She's a nice horse to be around, he even uses a hand sprayer on her to spray pastures and she don't mind. You can leave her set for a month and get right on her and ride right off without a hitch. Same everyday.
She started really well in the head box, ready to go compete. Sounds like a nice mare to own. Give him a call if you have more questions.

We aquired this really nice gelding...... $1750. SOLD these two horses to 4L Grazing, LLC, Beaumont, KS Thanks :-)
He's 12 yrs. old. Stands about 15.1 1/2 hands tall. Rides really nice. Great for a beginner, grandma, trail-rider. He likes to go slow. Shapey enough to win a halter class.
They told us he had papers, but we didn't get them.
Here's a neat little horse we picked up. He stands right at 14 hands, 12 yr old buckskin gelding. Rides nice, stays tied, no pull back, trims feet well, and not barn sour. One of those that you can ride the pastures all day and he has the endurance to do it. He's had a rope swung on him, but we have not roped on him yet. We have moved some roping calves with him, he does pay attention to the calves. Just a neat horse and the right size to get on and off of. Probably not for a beginner, but someone who can ride will get along with him. $1750

She goes back to Tuffernhel on the bottom. She changes leads with ease, picks up her leads, side passes off leg pressure, has a big stop. You can open & shut gates off her. She stands great for the shoer.
She started well on the barrels. Just ready to be seasoned. You can go to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_bqNCnwR1P4 and see a video of her running barrels. You will have to copy and paste it into a web browser.
I swung a rope on her and tracked some calves out of the roping box. She's quick to them and pins her ears at them.

This colt was a late colt. He's really got a nice shape. Nice disposition, wants to be someones buddy. He would make a great 4-H project.
He has a dorsal strip, so he may shed out to be the grey grulla.

This maybe your future heeling horse or really nice barrel prospect.
Update: 5/29/2014 an email from Holton Nelson:
The colt that we got from you is exceptional. He is really starting to look good and is growing like a weed. We are really looking forward to seeing his brother/sister. We like him a lot.
Have had a lot of people already try to buy him; of course I said “no” because I like him too much. And then I've had people ask if they could use him as a stud; which I think we will breed him to some mares in a couple of years. Hopefully he will be as good as his daddy. Thanks again :-)

Update: An email that we recieved from Carol Lewis -- (we love hearing updates about our colts)
Just wanted to send you a note to let you know he has settled in well. Upon seeing him, friends already want 2 breedings. So he will have paid for half of himself. We have never seen a more curious colt. he will be a breeze to train.
He is following and walking on tarps. Has no problems with saddle pads over his head and took fly spray all over like it wsa nothing! Even paper bags crinkling on his head!
He has a shetland pony gelding as his buddy for now but can see the other geldings in the back pasture. We are waiting for him to give himself his own barn name, but getting impatient. :-) Still don't know what to call him.
Will keep you posted.
Thanks for such an outstanding Colt!

This Colt is really sweet. Teresa has him riding really nice. He
opens gates, moves off leg pressure, gives to the bit. She sorts
roping steers. She has him started well in the heading box, stands
quiet, gets there and pulls them off good. Also, did some heeling.
He's loping circles, picking up leads. Got him started well on the
barrel pattern. Teresa's been taking him to the jackpots and doing
some warm-up runs on him. Coming along good....
Trail rides really well, also. He stands 15.1 hands now...

SOLD! to Larry V., Auburn, KS Thanks :-)
Deets grade: aged quarter-type gelding $2500
Deets is a finished heading horse that will also heel. He's been
used in the Women's Ranch Rodeos for 2 years by Heidi Hawk. She has won
2 National Champions on him.
He's also excellent in the pasture to go rope a wild one. He's
never taken a lame step in his life and is in really good shape. He
stands 16 hands.
Before Heidi bought him, he was Larry's number one head horse and won lots of money on him.
He's one of those "go to it, get 'er done" type horses. He'll work
for an advanced beginner on up to the highest number roper. And he has
ran a few barrels.
Hannah Gall purchased this filly as a 2 year old at the Atchison County Auction in Atchison, KS. She has done real well with her. We went to the Extreme Horse Happenings last fall and she won the barrels by at least 2 seconds faster than the rest of her age group. We were really pleased how the filly was coming along. She's out of our stud and the mare is Pacific Badger Bars. We raised the filly.
Thanks, Hannah
for a job well done!

Winners stands 16 hds, bred to be a world class pleasure horse, but
he wanted to rope and run barrels instead. There is not a more perfect
horse to be around on the ground, he is really nice and quiet, well
mannered, and loves people. Teresa has been riding this horse since he
was a 2 year old. He is really, really broke and has a big motor. This
has been Teresa's #1 head horse for 3 years and also has been heeled on
some. She has used him in the Women's Ranch Rodeos and was a huge
contributor in winning a WRRA National Championship in 2006. This horse

who is the sire of Shining Sparks, World Champion Reiner. This mare
was a pretty good heeling horse before we turned her into a broodmare.
She's really nice to handle, has a really nice shape to her, and we
think with the cross of our stud, the colts ought to be fast &
cowy.

not one buck at all, and welling to do what you ask. He's the full
brother to a 6 year old Gray Gelding that Larry is heading on now and
Teresa used him in NEKSAG shows as a 3 yr. old in barrels and poles.
He has the nicest move to him, smooth trot, really wants to rock on
his butte when he stops, and really wants to flex at the poll. I
